Bowls facing the wrong way
Nothing much is demanded of you today, which may be the hardest instruction you get all week. A few small jobs, then stop. The house will not notice the difference, and you might.
Love
The dishwasher, loaded by someone else tonight, may break at least three of your rules: bowls facing out, the big pan wedged across the top. Leave it. Close the door, press start, and go and sit with them. Clean is clean, however the plates got there.
Work and money
A reading list looks its longest on a Sunday, if you are studying. Pick the two chapters the essay actually stands on, read them properly with notes in the margin, and skim the rest by the contents page. A real grasp of two books beats a nervous grasp of eight.
Body and mind
Put your phone on charge in the kitchen tonight, not on the bedside table. You may reach for it twice in the dark out of habit, to check the time or tomorrow’s weather. Let your hand find nothing. Rest comes easier to you in a room with no screen in it.
Let the dishwasher be wrong, and read two chapters properly
