The constellation of Scorpio, the Scorpion

Scorpio horoscope this week

The Scorpion, 23 October to 21 November · Water, fixed, ruled by Pluto, and Mars before it

A straight answer for your brother

Two thousand pounds is what your brother asks for on Monday, by phone, without saying what it is for, and you notice that before the sentence is finished. You do not owe a yes, and you do not owe a lecture. Ask the question on Wednesday, face to face, and wait. Give your answer on Friday, with your terms if it is yes. Late on Saturday night the Moon moves into your sign, and you may sleep better for having said it.

Love

A loan inside a family is never only money. Decide what you would do if it were never repaid, and lend only that amount, if you lend at all. If you have a partner, tell them on Tuesday; secrecy about this would cost you more than the sum. Put it in writing, even between relatives. A short note, signed and dated, is kinder to you both than a long memory.

Work and money

You know which figures in Thursday’s report have been flattered, and you know who did it. Raise it once, on Wednesday morning, with the person responsible and the correct numbers in front of you. No witness and no email yet. What they do next will tell you how much of your trust they still deserve.

Body and mind

A difficult conversation can keep you awake long after it is over. Put your phone on the far side of the room on Wednesday night. Get off the bus two stops early on Thursday, with nothing in your ears. Make no decisions on Sunday about anything, including what to watch, and go to bed early.

The day to watch

Wednesday, for asking your brother what the money is for

Next week, 9 to 15 November

A design kept for ten years

A new moon falls in your own sign early on Monday, which suits a week about something you decided long ago. On Friday the 13th, of all days, you have an appointment at the tattoo studio on the corner, for a design you have kept in a drawer for ten years. Monday is for confirming. On Wednesday the artist sends the final drawing; change one line if you must, not five. Friday is the chair. The weekend is for keeping it clean and showing it to almost no one.

Love

Decide who sees it first, and tell them before Friday, not after. A partner deserves to see the drawing on Tuesday, and a straight answer to their first question, whatever it is. Your mother may not need to know until Christmas, and you are allowed that. The friend who will say only “it suits you” is the one to text a photograph to on Saturday.

Work and money

In Thursday’s meeting, a plan everyone has agreed to in the corridor comes to the table, and you can see where it fails. Say so, once, in plain words, with the figure that shows it. Do not soften it into a question. If the room goes ahead anyway, put your point in one email on Friday and get on with making the plan work.

Body and mind

Two or three hours in the chair is more tiring than it sounds, so go in rested, with a bottle of water and something to listen to. Afterwards, follow the studio’s aftercare sheet to the letter, even the dull parts. On Sunday, stay in, put a film on and enjoy knowing exactly what is under your sleeve.

The day to watch

Friday the 13th, for sitting down in the chair at last
